Since 2023, City of Gold Arts has dedicated itself to helping South African musicians find work in the US by arranging tours, securing visas, and helping with transportation needs.

The challenge, and how you can help!

While we have found wonderful gigs for artists here, the cost of bringing artists to the United States, even once their visas are secured, is still extremely steep. To help ensure that artists can comfortably tour and earn a comfortable living as musicians, we underwrite the costs of their international travel and their hotels.

This may feel like a small step, but it makes the world of difference for musicians, and ensures they can tour with comfort and dignity! For these artists, the cost of a round trip flight and several nights of hotels in New York City alone quickly surpasses $2,000-$3,000, badly hindering their ability to work here and establish their presence Stateside.
